Onex WestJet continues to pursue cost-saving measures as the airline sector faces unprecedented challenges in Canada.

WestJet workers see this change every day as their co-workers and friends are kicked to the curve by Onex WestJet; meanwhile, new people making less money and benefits are doing the job the next day.

These actions are among the many reasons why workers need a voice in the company and their industry. Onex WestJet has not taken your needs and desires into account as they adjust to Canada's evolving market and as WestJet fundamentally changes its business model.

Flight attendants, pilots, and dispatchers who have already unionized and gained a voice in the workplace as WestJet changes did not face mass outsourcing because workers had the union's power to resist.

Since Onex made its bid to buy WestJet – so much has happened. So much has been said.

With all of the airline industry turmoil these days leading to more and more WestJet frontline airport workers signing Unifor membership cards, there is no reason for airport frontline workers to be the only WestJet workers without a voice.
