We want to remind you of Unifor's unwavering commitment to confidentiality requirements under the Federal Labour Code. Your right to join the union is protected by law, as is your right to confidentiality.

Recently, Unifor became aware of a fake email sent to WestJetters, promoting another union and containing disparaging comments about your employer. Let it be clear: Unifor would never risk your privacy or send unsolicited emails with negative remarks about WestJet. We question the intentions behind spreading misinformation about your employer and the unionization process.

Joining Unifor is a democratic process that empowers workers to freely engage in education about the Labour Code, the union, and its structures. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the gains and future objectives of other WestJet groups represented by Unifor.

Even in the event of disagreements with your employer on benefits and wages, Unifor is committed to resolving these issues in a manner that respects your rights and the law. Our dedication to a healthy working partnership with your employer is a testament to our commitment to your long-term success. When WestJet is financially healthy and stable, you directly benefit from your contributions.

If another union is spreading lies about your employer and its leadership, be cautious about their intentions. While Unifor and WestJet may have different perspectives, we will always work through these with mutual respect, focusing on long-term gains for employees.

For any inquiries or concerns, please feel free to contact your Unifor representatives.
