Board Update Today

We continue to move through the formal Canada Industrial Relations Board process, working step by step through each stage alongside the employer and the Board. This includes the exchange of evidence, responses, and clarification on the scope of the bargaining unit.

Today, the Board issued a new direction in our application.

The Board has confirmed that there are five remaining classifications in dispute:

APPR Agent
APPR Specialists
Group Sales Specialist
Specialist Quality
Group Sales Senior Specialist

The Board has directed the employer to respond by March 27, including confirming its position and verifying that these are the classifications still in dispute.

Unifor will then have until April 1 to file a final reply.

The Board has also confirmed that no additional unsolicited submissions will be accepted outside of this process.

We are now moving into the final stage of written arguments before the Board makes its determination.

Each step in this process is important, and today’s direction brings greater clarity and moves us closer to a final decision on who will be included in the bargaining unit. This is how workers secure their collective rights through the Code, by seeing the process through and holding the employer accountable at every stage.

We are getting closer to achieving the collective right to union representation for your group, and we will continue to press forward until that right is secured.

We will keep you informed every step of the way.
