As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, I want to take a moment to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and to share how grateful I am for the courage, solidarity, and heart you’ve shown throughout this campaign.

You’ve been working tirelessly to build the support needed to reach a majority for Unifor to file our application with the Canada Industrial Relations Board — and we’re so close. Every conversation, every signed card, and every act of courage brings us one step closer to having a real, united voice at WestJet.

This is what lasting change looks like. Once we reach majority support, the next steps will lead to a legally binding collective agreement — one that guarantees fairness, just cause protections, and the respect you’ve earned.

As I celebrate Thanksgiving with my family and friends and prepare our holiday dinner, I’ll be happily playing your Victory Playlist on Spotify 🎶 — a soundtrack that reminds me how far we’ve come and how close we are to the finish line. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside each of you as you push toward securing the real protections and fairness that come with a union.

We know this year has not been easy. The constant threats of outsourcing, the pressure of discipline programs, and the uncertainty many of you face have weighed heavily. But what inspires me most is how you continue to stand up for each other, talk with coworkers, and believe in the power of solidarity.

As you take time this weekend to rest, reflect, or work through the holiday, know this — we are nearly there, and your voice matters.
Talk to one more coworker. Help someone sign their card. Every single card helps move us forward toward a secure and fair workplace where Contact Centre workers finally have the same voice and protections as other unionized WestJetters.
