Momentum Is Building at Campus and Contact Centre – Let’s Keep It Going
We’ve been having incredible conversations this week with WestJetters working across Campus in a variety of roles within CCEA and TAPS. From IT and guest experience to operations, marketing, finance, and more—it’s clear: the energy is growing and support for unionization is spreading.
We’re also hearing from Contact Centre agents who attended recent on-site meetings at Campus. These conversations have been fruitful and energizing, sparking in-depth discussions about how forming a union with Unifor can lead to improved working conditions.
Many agents shared that a collective agreement with guaranteed wage increases and built-in bonuses is far more reliable than a profit-sharing model—which is too easily manipulated to serve the interests of Onex and WestJet, often leaving workers with nothing at all.
We're receiving a steady stream of new and updated Unifor membership cards, including from those who signed over six months ago and want their support to count. (If that’s you, keep reading!)
The recent news about Crew Schedulers filing with Unifor has inspired real excitement. It’s a sign of what’s possible. Other groups are closing in on the 50% majority support needed to apply for certification and move forward toward securing a strong collective agreement.
A Reminder for Anyone with an Expired Membership Card
Union cards are valid for six months from the date they were signed and paid.
If your card has expired, we need to hear from you:
✅ Are you still working at WestJet?
✅ If so, have you updated your card yet?
If not—what’s holding you back? This is a critical moment. It only takes a couple of minutes to renew your card and pay the $5 fee (required by law). Your renewed support helps us get over the finish line.
You’ve already done so much. Let’s cross the finish line together.
