We want to share an important update with you. Over the past few weeks, we have seen a steady increase in Unifor membership card signings at YEG. That momentum matters. Each card signed brings this group closer to achieving the majority support required before Unifor can file an application with the Labour Board.

This progress reflects something deeper than numbers. It shows that more workers are talking to each other, asking hard questions, and deciding that they want a real voice at work. Change does not happen overnight, but it does happen when workers move together with purpose and determination.

If you signed a Unifor membership card more than six months ago, please note that it has now expired under labour law rules. To ensure your support continues to count, we encourage you to update your card at join.unifor.org/westjet. Renewing your card is a simple step, but it plays a critical role in moving this campaign forward.

What we are building at YEG is about more than certification. It is about respect, stability, and having a say in decisions that affect your work and your livelihood. Collective bargaining gives workers the power to set standards together rather than having conditions imposed on them.

This campaign will only succeed if workers continue to step forward and support one another. Every renewed card and every new card strengthens the foundation we are building together.

Let’s keep this momentum going and continue moving toward a stronger future for YEG WestJet workers with Unifor.
